LA FIETSA ESPAñOLA with CARLI SPANISH DANCE PRODUCTIONS and JAMES GRACE

Many people wonder about the link between Spain and the Lipizzaner, a breed originating in what is now Slovenia.  The Lipizzaner breed has, in fact, a distinct Spanish ancestry.

Recognised for their agility, boldness, strength and beauty, the Spanish Andalusian horse was imported to Central Europe from Spain by the Hapsburgs in the 16th Century. Careful selection and breeding with other horse types yielded the magnificent Lipizzaner.

In celebration of their Spanish heritage, the South African Lipizzaners are teaming up with traditional Spanish dancers from Carli Spanish Dance Productions and James Grace for a once in a lifetime fiesta of epic, equine proportions!
